My Dear Empress Community,
Can you believe we're nearly halfway through July already?! Summer sure has a way of convincing us that life should slow down, yet somehow the days seem to move even faster. Between vacations, backyard gatherings, community festivals, did I mention yard work? and the endless list of things we tell ourselves we'll "get to next week," it's easy for the season to slip quietly through our fingers.
If I'm being completely transparent, this newsletter is arriving much later than I had planned. Life and business have been wonderfully full, and I've spent the past several weeks welcoming new collections, preparing exciting collaborations, attending networking events thanks to some wonderful friends and meeting so many new faces, and dreaming about everything still to come for FYIE.
But perhaps that's a gentle reminder for all of us. Not every beautiful thing happens exactly on schedule. Sometimes the garden blooms a little later. Sometimes the best conversations happen after the plans have changed. Sometimes the chapter you're meant to begin simply waits until you're ready to turn the page.
There is so much to share this month. From exciting new arrivals and the launch of Embrago at FYIE to upcoming events, boutique happenings, and a few surprises we've been quietly working on behind the scenes, June and July have been filled with meaningful moments that I can't wait to share with you.

Introducing: Embrago at FYIE
I couldn't be more excited to officially welcome this innovative, Pennsylvania-made brand to our Empress Community. At FYIE, I'm always searching for brands that inspire confidence and make everyday life just a little easier for women living real everyday lives.

Date & Time: Friday, July 24th from 3-7pm Location: The Armstrong Great Lawn, Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp
Hosted by the Pittsburgh Regional North Chamber and the Cranberry Town Square Market. In addition to their regular Farmers Market, the splash pad will be splashing, there will be a petting zoo, vendors, live music from 5-7, food trucks and lots of festive fun.
A wonderfully delightful break from the heat of summer. Well, at least in theory. It seems summer's heat is here to stay this year.
Mark your calendars for our first ever end-of-season, sidewalk stretch clearance event! This is a great time to stock up on those items you've been "keeping your eye on".
News Around Town
The Great Pittsburgh Book Crawl will be coming to Mars thanks to our very own Novel Breads located just off Pittsburgh St in Mars!
If you love books as much as I do, be sure to check out this tour and follow along. You can pick up your passport book for the crawl at Novel Breads during their regular business hours and be sure to show them some love! And remember that FYIE stocks some great book related accessories like classic book wristlets and children's books for the kids.
The book crawl begins Saturday, July 18th and runs through the 26th.
If you will be attending any of FYIE's other events, these can often occur at the same time as events happening at other Mars businesses such as Nosh & Curd's Summer Sip n' Shop on July 30th.
Consider making a day or evening of it and visiting our neighbor businesses. Small towns survive because of small businesses, and small businesses survive because of amazing people like you!

The summer sun still warms the day, though somehow July slips away. Its golden hours, both bright and sweet, leaves treasured memories at our feet.
